πŸ“… Better late than never! πŸ“…

Hi there!

It's almost the middle of June... and I'm sending you my May monthly review! In my defence I'm still on maternity leave (until the end of the week).

I share these monthly reviews with you as a way to keep you in the loop of what I'm to + to inspire and encourage you to pause and reflect on where you're at too.

You can find more info on how I review my month, week, etc. in my goal-setting system. But if you want to DIY it, all you need is a notebook and a pen. Put a column down the middle of a page and write "Struggles" on one side and "Progress and joy" on the other. Then fill the columns in as you think back on the previous month.

Anyhoo, here's what I was up to in May! Hint: πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

May review

Struggles

  • I had quite a few challenges after giving birth: intense after pains, blistered nipples and mastitis.
  • I felt a bit frustrated by the lack of routine.
  • I spent quite a while faffing on my phone and not feeling more relaxed for it.
  • I struggled with the desire to work on my business, while feeling guilty about it + not really knowing how to rest.

Progress and joy

  • I gave birth to Baby G!!! A big healthy baby (4.52 kg!) and a safe natural birth at home - more on that in an upcoming podcast episode.
  • My partner and I started a shift system and got reasonable sleep.
  • I made Β£442 from my cryptocurrencies.
  • I decided not to breastfeed - a lot less drama than last time.
  • All the follow-up appointments went well - my midwife even gave me a "hatched at home" painted pebble.
  • Toddler J has taken to being a big brother very well. πŸ₯°
  • I've been enjoying thinking about my upcoming online course.
  • I've also been enjoying nice quiet mornings before my partner and Toddler J wake up.
  • Baby J is sleeping through more and more of my night-time "shift".
  • I started to come up with a schedule for myself.
  • My Saturday morning journaling friends gently "told me off" for feeling bad about not working and reassured me that it's okay to take a break.

All the ingredients to live your best plant-based life! Payday regrets, spring clean and secret projects Hi Reader! It's probably been a while since I popped into your inbox... So here's a quick update of where I'm at, then a round-up of helpful resources to help you live your best plant-based life! I've been working at my job (green spaces development officer at Oxford City Council) for over a year now. And I've gotten into a bit of a habit of looking forward to payday and... spending most...

Hi Reader, How are you doing today? I think our family is almost through the cold that has been slowing us all down and making us a bit grumpier haha. We had a bit of a scare as my partner partially lost his sense of taste, but we both tested negative for COVID so who nose (get it... πŸ‘ƒ). Anyway, moving swiftly on from the terrible jokes, I don't have a podcast episode to send you this week. I just wasn't feeling confident on Monday (when I normally record my podcast), so I spent the day...

Hi Reader, How are you doing today? My little boys have a cold, so I'm writing you this email while feeling already a bit tired (and it's only 2 o'clock haha). Hopefully they'll be better by the time I send you next week's email! 🀞 Anyway, I recently recorded a podcast episode about what to invest in for your business to be a success. I'll share it below if you want to give it a listen! But in the meantime, I'd like to know your opinion. At the beginning of the episode, I chatted about *when*...
